Grades K-5

K-5 Daily Life

Intentional, Innovative, and Inspirational

Every day students in grades K–5 become better learners, better leaders, and better people. Using decades of child development research as our foundation, we structure the curriculum to be effective and to spur steady progression in all disciplines.

Looking to the Future

The goal of our Lower School program is to equip students with the skills to be innovators and changemakers in the 21st century. We embrace technology and its ability to enrich learning and excite young minds. Our Tech Facilitator collaborates with classroom teachers on a weekly basis to implement relevant technology into lesson plans.

Social and Emotional Development

We believe social and emotional skills are as important as academic competencies when it comes to the education of a young child. Social interaction creates cognitive growth and represents a critical part of the St. Thomas experience. Our schedule intentionally leaves time for students to work and play together because we know these opportunities accelerate development in areas that they will need for the rest of their lives.
